Puppies can easily develop diarrhea through a wide variety of means including food indiscretion, overeating, allergies, stress, parasites, and more. In this Basic Care segment, veterinarian Philip Padrid shares a few tips that can help to relieve diarrhea in puppies. One method includes not feeding the puppy for 12 hours, then feeding them a light meal of rice and chicken, boiled ground meat, or cottage cheese for the next three days. But, if there is blood or mucous in the stool, the puppy should see a vet right away.
